The Minnesota State Fair just announced something all of us Minnesotans love to talk about! More than 50 new food items, including desserts, have been revealed for the fair this year. Here is just a taste of what visitors can expect at the Great Minnesota Get Together!

The Burger Dog is a blend of ground hamburger, hot dog, bacon, cheese and a splash of jalapeño on a hot dog bun.

Send your taste buds on wild ride with the Hot Tail, a Roasted pig tail coated in scallion ginger sauce.

The Mac n Cheese Cupcake is a twist on a traditional childhood favorite it is classic Mac & cheese nestled in a breadcrumb crust, then sprinkled with breadcrumbs and frosted with a dollop of Cheez Whiz.

For those of you watching your gluten intake the Pretzel Croissant Sandwich is Gluten-free and nitrate-free grilled chicken breast and ham, Swiss cheese and fresh spinach smothered in honey mustard and chive.

Fish lovers can enjoy Walleye Stuffed Mushrooms- Jumbo mushroom caps stuffed with flavored cream cheese spread, walleye, three cheeses, red pepper, panko breadcrumbs and a special sauce.

Get your caffeine fix with an Espresso Float, iced espresso over vanilla ice cream and topped with whipped cream and your choice of flavor.

Sweet and tangy comes together in the BBQ Pickle Ice Cream, vanilla ice cream infused with a light BBQ sauce and diced pickles.

Lastly a new vender is coming to town, Sara’s Tipsy Pies, featuring its Rhubarb Blue Hunny Do Pie which is a blend of fresh local strawberry rhubarb and baby blueberries baked with Hunny Do Wheat Beer, a honey dew melon-flavored beer, and topped with a Hunny Do Tipsy Topping.
