The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch from 10 a.m. to midnight Tuesday.

St. Cloud State University Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman says showers will start this afternoon and result in about 1-3 inches of rain for about half the state. Some areas might even get 3-5 inches of rain which varies locally.

Central and southern Minnesota will experience showers and thunderstorms and temperature drops to the fifties.
