Two people were arrested in St. Cloud after attempting to steal money from coin operated washing machines.

According to St. Cloud Police 29-year-old Nicholas Michael Leason allegedly forced his way into an apartment complex laundry room and tried to break into a coin operated washing machine to steal the money inside. 29-year-old Kayleigh Ann Buchholz is believed to have helped Leason.

The burglary took place shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday on the 1200 block of 14th Street North in St. Cloud. Both Leason and Buchholz were arrested and taken to Stearns County Jail.

Leason is facing charges of 2nd degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and theft. Buchholz is facing aiding and abetting burglary charges.
