Starting April 18 (date updated by the Minnesota Department of Transportation), St. Cloud drivers should be aware of a four month long road closure along Highway 15.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Highway 15 between Highway 23 and Division Street and Benton Drive interchange in Sauk Rapids will be reduced to a single lane.

The closure helps crews to resurface the roads and improve the intersections at Highway 15 and 12th Street North and Country Road 1.

The construction will install new dual-left turn lanes on southbound Highway 15 to eastbound 12th St North. The project will also extend turn lanes, upgrade traffic signals and replace overhead lighting with LED lights.

 The roads will reopen in August.
