Archived: Paynesville Boy Hospitalized After Car Crash Monday Night
An 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after a car accident near Paynesville Monday night.
Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies were sent to a two-car accident at the intersection of County Road 16 and County Road 33 in Zion Township. Thirty-year-old Miranda Thomes was driving northbound on County Road 33. Another car, driven by 18-year-old Hunter Voss, was stopped at the stop sign on facing east and drove into the intersection and collided with Thomes.
Voss told deputies he didn’t see Thomes drive into the intersection. The passenger of her vehicle, Ryan Thomes, was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The cause of accident is under investigation.
Paynesville Fire and Rescue Department and Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
