St. Cloud Police are urging drivers to be safe on the roads as winter weather hits.

Assistant Chief Jeff Oxton says since 8 a.m. Friday the department has responded to more than 6 road accidents, 3 fallen power lines and 3 reports of backed up traffic.

Plows and sanding trucks are already out-and-about on St. Cloud roads to help improve conditions.

Drivers are asked to slow down and be cautious when approaching intersections and crossing bridges or overpasses.
