Backstages: From an Old Phil to a Judy–My Conversation with Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ Michael Gruber

Though the Christmas holiday has passed, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres in Chanhassen, Minnesota, is still celebrating with its current main stage production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.

Based on the 1954 Paramount Pictures film which starred Bing Crosby, White Christmas is a musical comedy that follows two war buddies who fall for two sisters.

The two men end up following the sisters to a resort owned by their former commanding officers, who is in danger of losing the place. Thus, a plan to save it is formed.

In this episode of Backstages, KVSC Public Affairs Programming Producer Gracie J. chats with Michael Gruber, the actor who plays Bob Wallace in this production.

This program was made possible through support from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
