Great River Regional Library

IMG_0046.jpegHave you ever wondered where the money raised by the Minnesota Legacy Amendment goes and how the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund is specifically affecting your community? During this news feature, Arts & Cultural Heritage reporter Jeff Carmack presents a partially answer to that question. The Great River Regional Library system has been a recipient of Legacy grants, and during this first fiscal year of the funding, the 32 branch libraries have been able to offer over 500 new programs to serve over 22,000 people. On this trip around to various rural Central Minnesota libraries, you’ll get to hear from some very excited librarians about what this funding has done for their programming as well as why the Great River Regional Library “is not your grandma’s library” any more.
