In this installment of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, we take a trip back to the 1940s and 50s as Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack talks with Judy McConnel, author of the book A Penny a Kiss: Memoir of a Minnesota Girl in the Forties and Fifties. Judy visited the Granite City Book Club in June 2015 to discuss her book and the way culture shifted at the end of World War II and into the 1950s through the eyes of a girl growing up in Minnesota.
