The Untold Story of Patrick Scully’s Walt Whitman, the 100th Episode of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota

In the 100th episode of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack enjoys a pleasant Saturday afternoon at an outdoor theater performance rich in poetry and history as Patrick Scully brings the life of Walt Whitman to St. Cloud with Leaves of Grass-Uncut. Nationally acclaimed and a pretty darn near lookalike to the Transcendental poet, Scully digs deep into Whitman’s writing and reveals details of his background that are only recently able to be accepted by society.

This original one-man show is also on the cusp of a larger run within the state, with October 2016 dates found here.

This program is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.
