The Untold Story of Vietnam Veteran Jerry Hansen’s Wedding of Tomorrow and Sorrow
In this installment of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, Arts and Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack talks with Jerry Hansen, poet and author of the play The Wedding of Tomorrow and Sorrow, which is had its world premiere at the Pioneer Place Theater in St. Cloud in August of 2014.
The Wedding of Tomorrow and Sorrow is a multimedia journey about Hansen’s experiences during the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne and his experiences in reflecting upon the war fifty years later, including recollecting about his friend David Papish, the first soldier from St. Cloud to be killed in Vietnam in 1967.
