Quarry Park, the outdoor nature park for swimming, rock climbing, hiking and more is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a outdoor destination.

Park Director Ben Anderson says Quarry Park will celebrate the anniversary by hosting family activities such as rock climbing, a park scavenger hunt, derrick demonstrations which is the lift used for granite, historical reenactments, animals and much more!

Quarry Park was purchased in 1992 from Cold Spring Granite Company and added to the Stearns County Park system. It officially opened on January 1, 1998 and has been a hit ever since. The park is home to 683 acres, 20 granite quarries, several fishing spots and an extensive trail route.

The Quarry Park celebration will be on Saturday, June 16 at Quarry Park from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend and parking will be free.
