Officers responded to a 2-vehicle crash at the intersection of Cooper Ave. and 17th St. S. Friday.

The St. Cloud Police Department says an investigation shows a vehicle was rear-ended just after 2:30 p.m. by another vehicle driven by an unknown male. The accident happened in the street just before the intersection at Cooper Ave. The driver and back seat passenger of the striking vehicle ran from the scene on foot.

Another passenger, a 30-year-old man from St. Cloud, didn’t run because he was hurt by the impact. He was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital in an ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

There were 2 people in the vehicle that was hit, but no one was injured.

There is an active investigation.
