A new graduate program at St. Cloud State University is capturing the attention and support of the U.S Department of Education.

The Rehabilitation and Addiction Counseling program at St. Cloud State received a $1 million grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services of the U.S. Department of Education.

The grant will provide $200,000 per year for tuition assistance and professional development stipends from 2015-2020.

This is the first time a long-term grant has been awarded to a program that focuses on both rehabilitation counseling and addictions. Only two programs like this exist in the United States.
