Archived: Sartell-St. Stephen Announce Plans To Build A New High School

SARTELL, Minn. (AP) – The Sartell-St. Stephen School District will build a new high school.

Voters Tuesday approved a nearly $106 million bonding referendum. About $89 million is for the high school and the rest is for improvements to other buildings in the district.

WJON reports district officials say enrollment has been growing fast and they’ve run out of room in their existing buildings. The current high school will become the middle school.

The new high school is Sartell is expected to open for the 2019 school year.
