Archived: Sauk Centre Man Arrested After Driving At 111 MPH While Allegedly Drunk

A 30-year-old Sauk Centre man was arrested on charges of felony DWI and excessive speeding early morning Thursday.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says at 12:20 a.m. a deputy was driving southbound on Highway 71 near County Road 171 and clocked a vehicle driving at 111 mph in a 60 mph zone.

The deputy stopped the car, driven by Wade Richard Holck, and gave him a field sobriety test. Holck was arrested on charges of drinking while driving, being a danger to other drivers and driving with a revoked license. Authorities say he will not be allowed to get another driver’s license for many years due to numerous previous offenses.

Holck was booked into the Stearns County Jail and his case was forwarded to the Stearns County Attorney’s Office.
