Sauk Rapids Fire Department and Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department received pet oxygen mask kits to save pets lives.

The Invisible Fence of Central Minnesota has donated more than 11,500 masks to majority of fire stations in America and Canada to rescue pets trapped in fires. The donation is part of Invisible Fence Brand’s Project Breath program designed to equip firefighters with necessary tools to save pets.

Firefighters have saved more than 120 pets including a cat in Maple Grove on August 4. Invisible Fence says about 40,000-150,000 pets die every year by inhaling smoke.

Director of Invisible Fence Brand, Ed Hoyt, says fire tragedies change lives. He adds pets are valuable members of families and firefighters can save them if they have the right tools.
