A Sauk Rapids man is facing multiple charges including reckless discharge of a firearm in city limits after admitting of firing off one round from a firearm in St. Cloud Wednesday morning.

St. Cloud police Sergeant Jason Burke says casings from a 9 millimeter firearm were found at 1700 16th Street SE. Additional 9 millimeter ammunition and marijuana was also found in the suspect’s vehicle and backpack.

Sergeant Burke says the firearm used in the incident has the serial number filed off of it.

The man, 18-year-old Joseph Curtis Morey of Sauk Rapids, was taken to the Sherburne County Jail and is being held on multiple charges including reckless discharge of a firearm in city limits, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of firearm without a permit.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
