Tax season is a time when scammers try to get ahold of personal information over the phone.

The St. Cloud Police Department says they have received many complaints about harassing IRS phone scams. The department wants to remind people not to give personal information over the phone.

SCPD adds the IRS will not make calls requesting payments.
