The St. Cloud State University Foundation received a generous gift of $25,000 from St. Cloud State alumni Byron “Bud” Bergren, for scholarships helping in the Herberger Business School.

 

Bergren graduated in the class of ’71 and majored in management at St. Cloud State. He spent most of his career in retail, most recently as the President and CEO of Bon-Ton Stores Inc., which operates more than 275 stores and owns chains including Herberger’s, Yonkers and others.

 

The Scholarship program will award one annual scholarship of $1,000 minimum, and also support junior and senior students in the Herberger Business School who show a financial need.
