A St. Cloud State University art professor is one of eight Minnesotans to take home a 2014-2015 McKnight Foundation grant.

Professor and sculptor Alexa Horochowski received the $25,000 grant from the McKnight Arts Fellowships for Visual Arts given out by the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Employed at the university since 2002, Horochowski has had her artwork on display nationally and internationally including her steel sculpture called “Rock,” her bronze work “Tall Ships,” and her video “Kelp Experiment 1.”

Horochowski is also a visiting artist to galleries in Chicago and Buenos Aires.
