The survey asked people of their views on the impact of immigration to the state, Mexican and Somali immigrants and their thoughts on pathways to legalization of undocumented ones.

 

The results of the survey showed more than 60 percent of Minnesotans agreed that immigration has a positive effect on the United States.  The top positive effect was cultural diversity, while the top negative effect was burden immigrants represent to government welfare.
