Archived: SCSU Liquor License, St. Cloud Times And YMCA Construction To Be Discussed At City Council Meeting

St. Cloud State University is applying for a temporary liquor license for two upcoming hockey games at the city council meeting tonight.

The council’s consent agenda shows a temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor license is in the works for the men’s hockey game Jan. 1 against Arizona State University and for Feb. 27 against the UMD Bulldogs. Both games will take place at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Also on the agenda is the designation of the St. Cloud Times as the official newspaper for the city.

Wrapping up the meeting under Old Business, a bid to construct a new Community Aquatics Center will be assigned to Gohman Construction.

The council meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
