St. Cloud State University students have an opportunity to help create maps for remote places around the world.

Geography Graduate Student Moira Walsh says students can volunteer for Missing Maps to mark satellite images of different worldly regions.

Emergency response groups will use these images to act faster in crisis situations.

The mapping event at St. Cloud State, called a mapathon, will support a malaria prevention campaign.

You can join Missing Maps on Tuesday in the Miller Center. Students can help from 3-5:30 p.m. in room 207. Pizza and refreshments will be served, and folks are encouraged to bring a laptop.
