Folks in east St. Cloud should be aware of a prescribed fire along Highway 10 Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the controlled burn will start at 10 a.m. and go into the evening. Traffic should not be affected but smoke will be visible from the road.

The fire is used to improve native vegetation and weed control. MnDOT says they are taking advantage of today’s optimal weather conditions to ensures safety and effectiveness.
