Drivers should know that segments of County Road 2 in Rice will be closing July 1 at 7:00 p.m.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says County Road 2 between County Road 21/25th Avenue NE and Highway 10 will be closed as crews place beams for the future Highway 10 bridges.

Detours will be posted to guide drivers to Highway 10, County Road 40, and County Road 21.

All lanes of Highway 10 will remain open and shifted to their narrowed, temporary lanes with a reduced 55 mph speed limit.

All lanes will reopen the next day at 6:00 a.m.
