Archived: Semi Crash On Highway 71 Near Albany Leaves One Dead And Injures Three Others

A head-on collision on Highway 71 near Albany leaves one person dead and injured three others early Tuesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says, around 2:30 a.m., the driver and passenger in a Monte Carlo crossed the center line in a construction zone and crashed into a semi-trailer.

The driver of the car passed away from injuries. No name has been released. The passenger, 2-year-old Jeremiah Blume of Elrosa, Minn., is suffering from serious injuries.

Carlos Sandoval, 44, and Angel Sandoval, 14, of Grand Island, Neb., were in the semi and received non-life threatening injuries.
