A bicyclist collided with a mini-van in St. Cloud Thursday morning at the intersection of 5th Avenue South and Highway 23.

 

The St. Cloud Police Department says the accident occurred at about 5:45 a.m when a mini-van being driven by 22-year-old Jennifer Rae of St. Cloud was turning right from Northbound 5th Avenue South onto Highway 23 after having stopped. 

 

At the same time a bicycle ridden by 26-year-old Elisabeth Terwey of St. Cloud was traveling westbound on the south sidewalk of Highway 23 approaching the intersection of 5th Avenue South. 

 

When Rae began to make her right turn Terwey entered the intersection at the same time and they collided. Terwey received minor injuries and was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital.
