A St. Cloud couple has been arrested after they assaulted one another.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to the 1400 block of 5th Avenue South around 11:15 p.m. Saturday night after a man had said his girlfriend had stabbed him in the cheek with a screwdriver.

36-year-old Tywan Allen Gill was treated at the St. Cloud Hospital for the minor injuries he sustained in the incident. His girlfriend, 32-year-old Johnetta Marie Williams was arrested in connection to the stabbing and is facing 2nd degree assault charges.

During the investigation into the stabbing, police arrested Gill on charges of domestic assault by strangulation committed against Williams.

Both Gill and Williams were taken to the Stearns County Jail and are waiting a court date.
