Archived: St. Cloud District 742 Referendum Fails After Election Day On Tuesday
On Election Day November 3rd the community was asked to vote on a proposed $167 million referendum to remodel Tech and Apollo High Schools as well as renovate other District 742 buildings.
There was only one question on the ballot asking voters if St. Cloud Area Public Schools should authorize the building bonds for the projects.
The District 742 referendum failed, and voting statistics were posted by the Minnesota School Board Association after Election Day. According to MSBA St. Cloud had 7,393 yes votes, which fell short to the 8,460 no votes.
