Archived: St. Cloud Man Arrested After Allegedly Promoting Prostitution In Central Minnesota
A St. Cloud man was arrested Friday on charges of promotion of prostitution and sex trafficking in Stearns County.
Waite Park Police Chief David Bentrud says a team of investigators were looking into a case of prostitution in Central Minnesota. They identified several women who were allegedly being trafficked by 40-year-old Israel Davis, who is suspected of actively recruiting and promoting prostitution.
The team of investigators from area police departments makes up the Central Minnesota Sex Trafficking Task Force.
On Friday, Stearns County deputies saw a man who matched Davis’ description at the 100 block of 32nd Avenue North in St. Cloud. Deputies secured a search warrant and received help from St. Cloud SWAT since there may have been weapons at the location.
Davis was arrested and taken to Stearns County Jail.
