Archived: St. Cloud Man Arrested For Obstructing The Legal Process Wednesday Night

A St. Cloud man was arrested for obstructing the legal process after behaving erratically on Wednesday night.

St. Cloud Police Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says officers were called to the 4200 Block of County Road 120 after receiving a call reporting a man behaving suspiciously near their garage.

Oxton says when the officers arrived to the area, they noticed 23-year-old David Lee Booth had taken off his shirt while running back and forth in the street and jumping up and down. Oxton adds Booth even ran toward squads and refused to follow instructions from officers to lay on the ground.

Oxton says officers finally used a Taser and arrested the suspect. He was taken to the St. Cloud hospital to be checked out for his unusual behavior.

He was then taken to the Stearns County Jail where he was booked on charges of obstructing legal process. No injuries were reported.
