Archived: St. Cloud Man Arrested On Charges of 2nd Degree Assault Sunday

A St. Cloud man was arrested on charges of 2nd degree assault in the north side of the city Sunday night.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers responded to a robbery complaint in the 400 block of 16th Avenue North shortly after 11:40 a.m. The investigation shows 28-year-old Ryan Robert Weber threatened the victim, a 50-year-old man from St. Cloud, with a hunting knife and took some property from him. No injuries were reported.

Officers located Weber in the area at 9 p.m. and took him into custody. He is being held at Stearns County jail facing charges of 2nd degree assault. He was not charged with robbery due to lack of evidence.
