A St. Cloud man was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle on the north side of St. Cloud Monday night.

 

St. Cloud Police Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says officers were called to the 100 block of 23rd Avenue North in connection with a person hit by a vehicle. Officers learned a 32-year-old man of St. Cloud was allegedly assaulted by 23-year-old Michael Jay Flavin of St. Cloud and 30-year-old Orlando Michael Walker of St. Cloud.  

 

Oxton says the suspects then got into their vehicle and Walker, who was the driver at the time, struck the victim before leaving the area. As a result, the victim received serious injuries and was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital. 

 

Oxton says officers located the vehicle and Walker later at the 1000 block of 14th Avenue Southeast. Officers arrested Walker immediately and booked him into the Stearns County Jail. Walker is facing the charges of 2nd degree assault and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision.

 

As of now, Flavin is still at large. He is wanted by police for questioning about his involvement in the incident. Oxton says the case is actively under investigation.
