One passenger and a driver of a St. Cloud Metro Bus were taken to the St. Cloud Hospital after the bus hit a light pole.
St. Cloud Police Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says officers were called to the 100 block of 7th Avenue North around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday morning after a report of a minor crash.
After a brief investigation, officers say the driver of the Metro Bus, 33-year-old Benjamin Robert Koubsky of St. Cloud was traveling southbound on 7th Avenue at 1st Street North when he had suffered an unknown medical condition, causing the bus to cross over the center line, drive up on a curb and hit a light pole.
The bus had received minor damage.
Five passengers were on board the bus at the time of the accident. One passenger, 81-year-old Richard David Olson of St. Cloud was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with minor injuries. Two had complained of minor injuries but did not seek medical attention.
Koubsky was also taken to the hospital.
