Archived: St. Cloud Metro Bus Is Now Collecting Items For
“Fill the Flyer” Food Drive kicks off Friday, December 4 at grocery stores in the St. Cloud and surrounding areas.
Metro Bus says they partner with Townsquare Media and Royal Tire to collect food for area families during the holidays.
The goal is to gather enough food and non-perishables to fill an entire bus. A New Flyer Metro Bus will be parked at different grocery stores throughout the week.
All items go to the Salvation Army and Catholic Charities Emergency Services food shelves.
Metro Bus adds since 2011, “Fill the Flyer” has collected more than 13,000 pounds of food and 5,000 dollars. Cash donations are encouraged since they have the opportunity to be matched through the Skalicky’s Foundations annual Charity Challenge.
