St. Cloud Metro Bus will be hosting the 28th Annual Minnesota Statewide Bus Roadeo Saturday morning on the Northside.

Metro Bus Marketing and Communications Manager, Berta Hartig, says 37 bus operators from more than 20 agencies around the nation will take part in this event to showcase their driving skills. Drivers are required to go through a series of orange road cones with a time limit and test different real-life driving scenarios.

Operators will gain new skills through challenging in the competition. Winners will be announced in a private reception Saturday evening at MnDot Training Facility at 12th Street North. The results will also be shared on Twitter after the awards are presented.

The event is planned by volunteers from the Minnesota Public Transit Association. It starts at 7:00 a.m. and lasts until 3:00 p.m.
