St. Cloud Police and St. Cloud State University joined forces to oversee SCSU’s Move-In weekend.

This year, Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says the SCPD increased staffing and enforcement efforts for the weekend, specifically during evening hours.

Oxton adds a total of 223 people were cited for offenses, and SCSU officials say about 45% of those cited are current college students.

Citation statistics for the three-day event are as follows:

Possession of Alcohol (18-21 YOA): 3

Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana: 3

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: 3

Disorderly Conduct: 7

Noise Violation-Yelling and Shouting, Loud Stereo: 18

Noise Violation-Loud Party: 32

Failure to Leave a Loud Party: 2

Social Host: 15

Littering: 3

Criminal Damage to Property: 1

Fireworks Possession: 1

Fleeing on Foot: 5

Urinating in Public: 6

Obstructing Legal Process: 9

5th Degree Assault: 6

False Information to Police: 3

Driving After Revocation of Suspension: 3
