Archived: St. Cloud Police Are Seeking Information About A Domestic Assault Report Tuesday
St. Cloud Police are investigating a report of domestic assault involving a man and woman after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Assistant Chief Jeff Oxton says officers tried to pull over a vehicle driven by the 36-year-old male suspect, who had a knife. The man wouldn’t stop and a pursuit began along 26th Ave. N. The man eventually tried to run when he stopped at an apartment in the 1300 block of 15th St. N.
Officers set up a perimeter to look for the man, but learned he left the area when he got a ride to a different apartment building. Then, officers set up a new perimeter in the 2000 block of 15th St. N. The K9 Unit was used to search for the man. No one was found.
In the meantime, a 24-year-old woman, believed to be the victim, was treated at the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injures.
The St. Cloud Police Department is still investigating the felony level assault. If you have any information, you’re encouraged to call police at 320-251-1200 or the Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 320-255-1301.
