The District 742 Local Education and Activities Foundation is awarding $27,548 during its spring academic and activities funds granting cycle. LEAF awards supplemental funding to academic, activities, arts, and athletic programming.

Advisors, teachers and coaches are able to submit grant applications twice during the academic year for special projects. Some of the grants awarded this spring include $300 for new tennis nets for physical education classes as Oak Hill Elementary School and $1,500 for school owned music instruments at North Junior High School.

LEAF was founded in 1993 and since 1996 it has contributed over $1.1 million to projects in District 742.
