St. Cloud State University is holding a 2015 Science Rocks event for 5th and 6th grade students Monday.

Director of Educational Programs, Sandra Cordie, says more than seven hundred students are attending the event from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants can learn about different science and nature elements taught at four different sessions. Topics include how Department of Natural Resources manages fish populations, how roads and trails are made and mapping skills.

The event is happening at Wick Science Building, Brown Hall, Headley Hall and the new ISELF building.
