St. Cloud State University has named Zachary Mangas as the director of the Veterans Resource Center.

Associate Dean of Students Jerry Bulisco says Mangas was chosen after conducting a national search. He has been serving as the interim director.

Mangas has earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He also has a graduate degree in College Counseling and Student Development from SCSU. His experience as a graduate assistant with the U-Choose Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention program and as an intern with the center will be of value in his new position.

In addition to his deployment in Iraq, Mangas has also served several years in the Minnesota National Guard. Bulisco says Mangas is passionate, caring and has technical skills that would help veterans to have a successful profession and life at the university.
