St. Cloud State University received a grant worth $614,000 dollars to offer as scholarships to students.

The grant was awarded by the National Science Foundation, a top federal agency supporting non-medical science and engineering research and education.

St. Cloud State will offer scholarships to 45 students studying Information Assurance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. Students are encouraged to apply for a two-year scholarship of up to $12,000 beginning August 1. To be eligible, students must meet application requirements. 

The grant was secured by Computing and Engineering Scholarship Program collaborators including Professor Susathana Herath, Professor Jayantha Herath and Associate Professor Mahbub Hossain.
