A time for celebration is nearing at St. Cloud State University. More than 1,600 students are graduating this spring semester.

Two separate commencement ceremonies are being held on Saturday, May 9th. One at 10:30 a.m. and the second at 3 p.m., bot at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Ashley Arhart, a magna cum laude bachelor’s degree in marketing will deliver the 10:30 a.m. address. Daniela Lorenz, a summa cum laude bachelor’s degree in communication studies will speak at 3 p.m.

Speaking on behalf of alumni is Pinnacle Airlines and Delta Connection pilot Floyd Balentine. John Cowles will be representing the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. Tom Hergert will represent SCSU faculty and St. Cloud Mayor David Kleis will also be at the celebration.

Parking will be free on the day of the event in all campus parking lots as well as the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp.
