Archived: St. Cloud State University Teams Up With Kids Fighting Hunger To Package Food

St. Cloud State University and Kids Fighting Hunger are partnering up to pack food for children in poor parts of the world.

Kids Fighting Hunger is a non-profit organization that provides help for children in poverty-stricken areas around the globe.

SCSU Anti-Racism Educator, Debra Leigh, says the partnership coincides with Martin Luther King Junior Day, Monday January 18th. She adds more than 300 volunteers are helping to organize the event, but more support is needed.

Community members who would like to donate can visit Kids Fighting Hunger for more information. Every $15 donated covers 90 meals. All donations will go towards purchasing ingredients for food.

Donors will receive a letter acknowledging their tax-deductible donations. The Kids Fighting Hunger is establishing schools worldwide. The donations will be distributed in the school food programs.
