Archived: St. Cloud State University’s Fall Enrollment Increases After Four Years of A Declining Trend

St. Cloud State University’s enrollment this semester increased after a four-year declining trend. 15,461 students are taking classes at the school.

Provost Ashish Vaidya says the school has experienced a slight increase of .3 percent in student population, which is 28 more students than last fall. He adds the university continues to invest in student recruitment and maintaining strategic enrollment growth over time.

Within the student population, the University Honors Program is seeing the biggest enrollment of 159 scholars in its history. The number of students of color climbed to 16.4 percent. International students grew 14.5 percent which contributed to the increasing number of graduate students.

Full year enrollment status declined point four percent due to high school students receiving an average of four college credits per academic year.
