A St. Cloud woman has died after a house fire Sunday afternoon. St. Cloud Police Commander Jeff Oxton reports 70-year-old Sharon Lorraine Honer died at the Hennepin County Medical Center. She was first taken to the St. Cloud Hospital and transferred.

The fire was reported at 1:37 p.m. Sunday at 2041 Northway Circle. Another resident in the home, a 42-year-old man, was treated on the scene for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is believed to be an accident and related to cigarette smoking. The St. Cloud Fire and Police departments investigated the fire along with the State Fire Marshall’s office.

The fire was contained to one upper level room in the house and caused about $2,000 in damages to that room.
