A St. Cloud woman is in custody after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to the 500 block of Highway 10 South in St. Cloud around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Officers say 19-year-old Violet Faith Hopkins had cut her boyfriend with a knife because he had refused to give her a cigarette. The 29-year-old man had minor injuries, but refused medical attention.

Hopkins is currently facing 2nd degree assault charges in the incident.
