St. Cloud Woman Trapped In Car After Crash

A St. Cloud woman became trapped in her car after a crash caused her vehicle to roll over.

The St. Cloud Police Department says officers were sent to the scene of a two-car crash in St. Cloud at the intersection of 25th Avenue North and 1st Street North at around 1:20 p.m.

A car driven by 78-year-old Mary Kathryn Fennell of St. Cloud was driving south on 25th Avenue North when it was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by 27-year-old Toni Marie Harms of St. Cloud.

The impact of the crash caused Fennell’s car to flip over and land on the driver side door, trapping her inside. The St. Cloud Fire Department was able to extricate her from the car.

Harms had failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was issued a citation. She didn’t need any medical attention. Fennell was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
