Stearns County is offering a workplace wellness opportunity for businesses in the area.

The Public Health Divisions of Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties are working with each other to help companies in planning, assessing, and implementing a workplace wellness program.

This Tri-County initiative is done through the Statewide Health Improvement Program. The purpose of this initiative is to improve workplace health and culture. It provides employers with best practice strategies for policy, systems, environment and social support.

Employers would learn how to become more active and quit or reduce tobacco use. Participants would also receive education on lifestyle and stress management. One of the other advantages of the program is its breastfeeding support for mothers.
